Principle of AC charging pile
Ac charging pile, in essence, is a controlled socket, the output is AC, the car charger needs its own transformer rectification, limited by the car charger power, the general power is small, 3.3 and 7kw.
Ac charging pile features
(1) The human-computer interaction interface uses a large-screen LCD color touch screen, charging can choose a fixed amount of electricity, a fixed time, a fixed amount, automatic (until full) four modes; Displays the current charging mode, time (charged time, remaining charging time), power (charged electricity, waiting to be charged electricity), and current charging information.
(2) The card reader is used to identify and record power consumption information. The printer is used to print consumer receipts.
(3) Complete safety protection measures.
1) Emergency stop charging button.
2) Output overcurrent protection function.
3) Output leakage protection function.
4) Automatically determine whether the charging connector and charging cable are correctly connected. Only when the AC charging pile is properly connected to the electric vehicle can the charging pile be allowed to start the charging process; When the AC charging pile detects an abnormal connection with the electric vehicle, it stops charging immediately.
5) With flame retardant function.
Difference between DC charging pile and AC charging pile
Dc charging pile: DC electric vehicle charging station, commonly known as "fast charge", it is fixed installed outside the electric vehicle, connected with the AC power grid, can provide DC power supply for the non-on-board electric vehicle power battery. The input voltage of the DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire AC380V±15%, the frequency is 50Hz, and the output is adjustable direct current, which directly charges the power battery of the electric vehicle. Because the DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire power supply, it can provide enough power, and the output voltage and current adjustment range is large, and the requirements of fast charge can be realized.
Ac charging pile: AC electric vehicle charging pile, commonly known as "slow charge", is fixed installed outside the electric vehicle, connected with the AC power grid, and provides AC power supply device for the electric vehicle on-board charger (that is, the charger fixed on the electric vehicle). Ac charging pile only provides power output, no charging function, need to connect the car charger to charge the electric vehicle. Equivalent to just play a control power supply role.
The difference between the two: Simply put, the AC charging pile needs to be charged with the help of the vehicle charger, and the DC fast charging pile does not need this equipment. There is a big difference in charging speed between the two, and a pure electric vehicle (ordinary battery capacity) needs 8 hours to be fully discharged through the AC charging pile, while it only takes 2 to 3 hours through the DC fast charging pile. The AC charging pile provides power input to the charger of the electric vehicle. Because the power of the on-board charger is not large, fast charging cannot be realized.
