What should I do if I encounter a jump gun or a lock gun?

November 05, 2024

Jump gun and lock gun are two kinds of situations that may be encountered when using refueling guns or charging guns. The following is an analysis of the reasons for these two situations and the corresponding solutions:

Gas gun jump gun

① Reasons:

a. The fuel tank is full: When the oil level in the fuel tank reaches the induction point of the fuel gun, the fuel gun will automatically jump, which is a normal protection mechanism to prevent the fuel tank from overflowing.

b. Too fast refueling speed: Too fast refueling speed will make the oil and gas in the tank rise rapidly, impact the oil and gas recovery device of the refueling gun, resulting in a jump gun.

c. Oil and gas recovery system failure: If the oil and gas recovery system is blocked or damaged, it will lead to abnormal pressure in the tank, which will trigger the jump gun.

d. Refueling gun failure: the muzzle or internal parts of the refueling gun are damaged, which may also lead to a jump gun.

② Solution:

a.Check the tank: First confirm whether the tank is full, if not, you can continue to fill.

b. Adjust the refueling speed: reduce the refueling speed appropriately to avoid oil and gas shock.

c. Check the oil and gas recovery system: If you suspect that there is a problem with the oil and gas recovery system, you can inform the gas station staff to check and repair.

d. Replace the fuel gun: If the fuel gun itself is faulty, a replacement fuel gun should be requested.

Charging gun locks gun

① Reasons:

a.Charging completion: When the electric vehicle is charged, the charging gun will automatically lock to prevent accidental pulling out, which is the normal charging end state.

b. Vehicle failure: The charging interface or control system of the vehicle fails, which may cause the charging gun to not be pulled out properly.

c. Charging device failure: Failure of the locking mechanism of the charging gun or charging pile may also lead to the locking of the gun.

d. Power interruption during charging: Sudden power failure during charging may lock the charging gun.

② Solution:

a. End charging: If charging has been completed, stop charging through the operation interface of the vehicle or charging pile, and pull out the charging gun after unlocking.

b. Check the vehicle: If the vehicle is faulty, it is recommended to contact the car manufacturer's customer service or professional maintenance personnel for repair.

c. Check the charging equipment: For the failure of the charging equipment, the charging pile operator or relevant maintenance personnel should be notified in time for processing.

d. Restore power supply: If the lock gun is caused by power failure, stop charging and pull out the charging gun according to the normal operation procedure after restoring power supply.
